GHS seniors honored at Band Banquet



  GHS Buckeye Band seniors were recently honored at the 2008 GHS Band Banquet.

The Gilmer High School Cafeteria was transformed into a scene from an Academy Award set by the Junior class members and their parents who carried out the Hollywood theme throughout the room. The cafeteria was filled with students, family and faculty members who were on hand to enjoy a country Italian dinner catered by Johnny Carino’s.

A number of awards were presented by the Junior and Senior classes. Students who were eligible also received their letter jackets.

The evening closed with a touching pictorial tribute to the Seniors of 2008. This year’s banquet was dedicated in loving memory of Bobby Arrington, a loyal Buckeye Band supporter and dedicated Buckeye Band booster.
