ELECTRICIAN RANDY HILL, in photo above, examines an exploded electrical meter and electrical box which powered a lift station behind the Patterson Addition in Gilmer. It was discovered Friday morning (July 18). Sewer service was disrupted in the area briefly. It’s unknown whether it was the result of residual damage from a lightning strike or vandalism. Hill said it’s the worst case of its type he has seen.
